Since it was founded in 2005 with award-winning comedian & broadcaster Griff Rhys Jones at the helm, Modern Television has become a leading producer of quality Factual Entertainment, Arts Documentaries and drama for both national and international broadcasters.
Operating from the heart of two capital cities – London and Cardiff – the work of Modern Television has spanned the globe and been broadcast throughout the world. With a proven track record in popular factual entertainment (Rivers) and compelling documentaries (Hidden Killers of the Victorian Home), Modern TV has recently aired it’s first drama ‘A Poet in New York’ starring Tom Hollander as iconic poet Dylan Thomas.
Following our consistent work with a range of entertaining and engaging individuals including Joanna Lumley, Jeremy Paxman and Jack Dee, the company received two BAFTA Cymru nominations in 2012 and was awarded the Fast Growth 50 Award (2009 & 2010) for Creativity & Knowledge in recognition of our rapid development and success – and we haven’t slowed down since…
