Monte Carlo or Bust ITV1

Three couples hit the road on a mad-cap jaunt from London to Monte Carlo to discover the genius, glory and gourmet food of France. Poised at the start line in Trafalgar Square are Jack Dee, Ade Edmondson, Jodie Kidd, Julian Clary, Penny Smith and Rory McGrath… and the journey ahead of them promises to be anything but dull. As they drive through the stunning French countryside, gliding over breath-taking mountains and cruising along coastal roads, the couples are tasked with collecting three items that best represent the head, heart and stomach of each French region they pass through.

Setting off on completely different routes, the VW Campervan, Mini Cooper and Bentley Convertible race toward Paris before heading south for Lyon and Monte Carlo- but despite being in the middle of a race, each team seems to find plenty of time to sample the delicious foods, rich wines and cultural nuances en route.
