Building Britain

BBC Two

Drawing on his passion for architecture, Griff Rhys Jones takes a personal and polemical journey through the suburbs, towns, cities and regions of Wales to reveal the issues and individuals behind the construction of our built environment. Convinced that town planners are more important than architects, Griff tackles them head on, travelling to building sites, shopping malls, retail parks and box-built estates to examine the building of Wales and, by extension, the construction of Welsh culture.

Produced and Directed: Clive Flowers
